In »Chambre noir« entwirft die schwedische Autorin Sara Stridsberg die fiktive Biographie der amerikanischen Schriftstellerin Valerie Solanas. Solanas machte in den 60er Jahren mit dem feministischen Manifest »S.C.U.M« auf sich aufmerksam. Noch heute ist sie bekannt als die Frau, die auf Andy Warhol schoss. Yngvild Aspeli inszeniert die Lebensrückschau mit lebensgroßen Figuren, Live-Percussion, verwüsteten Chansons und Videoprojektionen. Mit einer guten Prise schwarzen Humors zeichnet die norwegische Regisseurin das alptraumhafte Portrait einer zwischen Genie und Wahnsinn zerrissenen Persönlichkeit.

In „Chambre noir“ the Swedish author Sara Stridsberg creates the fictional biography of the American writer Valerie Solanas. In the 1960s Solanas attracted attention with her feminist manifesto „S.C.U.M“. She is still known today as the woman who shot Andy Warhol. Yngvild Aspeli stages the retrospective with life-size figures, live percussion, desolate chansons and video projections. With a generous pinch of black humour, the Norwegian director draws a nightmarish portrait of a personality torn between genius and madness.
